BSAFE has started: two days in Brussels to plan the year

On 23 and 24 September the two partner teams met at Silversquare Nord in Brussels to launch the project. Here is what was decided and what comes next.

The two project teams around a table at the kick-off, with the BSAFE title slide and the EU emblem on the screen behind them.

ARTIFESTO ASBL (Brussels) and BRAINSHOT (Athens) spent two days going through the whole plan: who does what, how the two cities work together, and how we make sure everything we produce is accessible and in three languages. The partnership agreement was signed on the second day.

The first big decision is about listening. Before writing a single course, we will run a survey, four focus groups and interviews with professionals in both cities, between mid-October and the end of November. The results will be published as a short report in December.

The second is about who we are talking to. BSAFE is for parents of pupils aged 12 to 15, adults over 50, adults who have moved to Belgium or Greece from another country, and adults looking for work. Trainers, teachers, psychologists and community workers will get a toolkit so the knowledge spreads beyond the project.

What comes next: the survey opens on 16 October. Focus groups in Brussels and Athens follow in November. The five courses and the trainer toolkit are planned for spring 2027, the podcast and the quiz for summer 2027. Workshops in both cities and two online webinars for trainers will run between May and July 2027.
