About BSAFE
BSAFE stands for Be Confident Online. It is a small European project that helps adults recognise scams, deal with online harassment and protect their privacy, without needing technical knowledge.
Two non-profit organisations, in Brussels and Athens, work with parents, adults over 50 and trainers in both cities. Everything we make is tested with real learners first and published for free in English, Greek and French.
What we want to achieve
- Adults recognise the most common online risks: phishing, scams by phone and text, harassment, misuse of personal data.
- Adults know what to do: check, block, report, change a setting, ask for help.
- Trainers, schools, libraries and NGOs can reuse everything we make, in three languages, for free.
Who we work with
- Parents of pupils in lower secondary education (ages 12 to 15)
- Adult migrants in language and integration programmes
- Unemployed adults registered with Actiris (Brussels) and DYPA (Greece)
- Adults over 50, reached through libraries and senior clubs
- Teachers, trainers, psychologists and community workers who can pass the knowledge on
